Coach Whitney provides several services to the volleyball community.
* All players/coaches from any club are welcome to train. Depending on your club rules, you may need permission before starting training.
* If you do not have a facility available, court time is available at the Virginia Volleyball Center.
Individual Instruction:
Individual instruction allows for maximum attention to the athlete. Costs are higher per person. Costs are available through contacting the VVC Facility.
Small Group Instruction:
Small group instruction provides for a high-level of attention to the athlete combined with shared costs. Costs are available by contacting the VVC Facility.
Large Group Instruction:
Large groups allow for dynamics an individual lesson simply cannot provide. Most large group sessions will be setup and advertised by a club or by Coach Whitney on this website.
Team Training:
Does your team need a different perspective? Do you believe you are saying the right things to them but simply need your team to hear it from a different source? Do you desire to have someone evaluate your team's talent or your approach to practice execution? Do you feel you run an efficient tryout? Coach Whitney is one of the few coaches in this area with years of experience providing these services to coaches.
Coach Training:
Perhaps Coach Whitney's favorite service to provide is coaching coaches. The biggest challenge with volleyball in the DC/MD/VA area are our own coaching ego's. The best coaches are those who are constantly seeking ways to improve their drills, their practices and their team's match performance. Coach Whitney has mentored many coaches in this area over the years in his previous roles as Technical Director and Clinician.
